POPchain is the part of this project that is hardest to explain without sounding like a dare.
It is a blockchain built around proof of resonance rather than proof of wasted computation. The basic idea is that a miner should contribute a measurable signal: a frequency, a phase, a quality factor, a crystal, a device, or eventually a real physical object that can be checked against the protocol.
The chain is already running. Today it shows 103,166 mined blocks and 7,214,452 POP in recorded mining rewards. Those numbers are real state on the live network, but they are not the whole point. A number going up is easy to mistake for progress.
The difficult part is making the chain deserve its physical story.
That means identity has to be meaningful. Resonance readings have to be fresh. Administrative actions have to be constrained. The software needs to fail safely before the enclosure arrives and asks it to become hardware.
For now, the simulated miner is paused. The chain is still running, but we are not forcing more activity just to create the appearance of momentum. The next meaningful step is waiting for the breadboards, enclosure, and clamps, then connecting the physical build to the system we have been describing.
POPchain is still becoming what it claims to be. That is the honest version: a live chain, a working experimental protocol, a lot of recorded rewards, and a physical proof still waiting on the bench.
